Rose McIver Online

Source | Will they or won’t they? It’s the age-old question fans ask about their favorite on-screen couples. For years, fans wondered if Friends’ Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer) would end up together, and, now, fans of The CW’s iZombie are wondering the same thing about the show’s own version of Rachel and Ross, Liv and Major.

Granted their love stories are a bit different, as iZombie’s Liv Moore (Rose McIver) is a former doctor who turns into a zombie and takes a job at a medical examiner’s office to both continue to work and also give herself an easy supply of brains to live off of. When Liv became a zombie she abruptly broke off her engagement to Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley), a human who had no idea of her new undead life. Of course, they found a way to remain friends and then more drama ensued once he discovered her zombie-way of life. Clearly this is the makings of a very, very normal love story, right?

But underneath all of the supernatural drama, that’s exactly what it is. But will Liv and Major get the same happy ending as Friends’ Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer)? When People’s Choice caught up with Rose McIver at The CW Upfronts in May, she seems to think so. Check out the video below to find out what the iZombie actress had to say about Liv and Major’s future and why she thinks the two are so similar to Rachel and Ross.

iZombie won’t be back in our lives until 2017, but star Rose McIver can already say one thing with certainty as we head towards Season 3: “No one wants to get cast as Liv’s love interest. They know where they’re going.”

McIver was, of course, alluding to Lowell (played by Bradley James) and Drake (Greg Finley) — her Season 1 and Season 2 boyfriends, both of whom are now six feet under — when TVLine spoke with her at The CW’s Upfront last week. But what about Major (Robert Buckley), the only one of Liv’s ex-boyfriends left standing?

“I love that they’re friends first,” she said of the former (for now) couple. “They’ve been able to stand by each other through thick and thin.” That said, also McIver admitted, “It’s a really complicated thing — she’s grieving two dead boyfriends. It’s not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. I think they’re really great for each other, and … they love each other.”

But don’t shed too many tears over Liv’s tragic love life; McIver would prefer that you pass your sympathy along to her partner in crime(fighting):

“I was devastated by Drake passing away, but I was equally devastated by Clive Babineaux and his longtime love Dale Bozzio’s breakup,” she confessed. “I just want Babineaux to be happy — bloody Liv, ruining everything by being a zombie.”

This is actually old news, almost a year old now. But somehow we missed it! Back in 2014, Rose did a photoshoot for the NO H8 Campaign, which we have a headshot from. Last year the campaign did their own “Power Rangers” one, collecting together the photoshoots of more than 50 previous Rangers! How cool is that? Rose can be spotted to the left of the photo, and here we get a full body shot of her. And as the yellow ranger, what’s more fitting that sporting some yellow pants?

For those who’re not familiar with the campaign, NOH8 is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest. You can find their official website here.

Over 50 former and current Power Rangers from the past 22 years unite for ‪#‎NOH8‬ to support equality worldwide! Can you spot the Rangers you grew up with?
