Hello Roses! Remember Rose’s short film “Coward“? It finally has a premiere date! It will be shown along with a string of other short films; Gasping, The Guests, The Pig Child, Artificio Conceal, The Listener. It’s directed by Rose’s good friend Karen Gillan, and is about 10 minutes long. Screen captures from the trailer have been added to our gallery, and you can watch the trailer on the official festival website here.

An explosive investigation of the insidious influence of technology, commodity and celebrity culture within society, and upon individual identity.

Interrogating the electric tensions existing between the emotional and rational, ethical and political within a post-modern societal landscape in constant agitation, these engaging shorts pulsate with ruminative questions. How does surveillance relate to personal autonomy? What impact has popular culture upon ones self-image? And just how ethically sound is scientific advancement?

Coward: Karen Gillan/USA/2015/10 min/European premiere
Tormented Hollywood starlet Ophelia plunders the depths of her troubled psyche, painfully confronting the solitude and disconnect from reality that her celebrity has brought her.

Hi Rose fans! I finally found back my old “Maddigan’s Quest” DVD, so we will finally be able to re-add the caps in the same quality which we had at our website back in the days when the show was still new. I have added caps from episode 5 to 8, and I will eventually start replacing episode 1-4 with better versions as well.  Ann also added some avatars and banners we made a few days ago to Pixie Dust. Enjoy this big update!

Showrunner Reveals What’s In Store For Liv And Blaine When CW Series Returns: Following the crushing Season 1 finale of “iZombie,” the show’s leading star, Liv (Rose McIver) will find herself in the worst predicament of all in Season 2. The circle of friends she kept at length will abandon her. Worse yet, Liv will be forced to team up with the heartless former zombie, Blaine (David Anders).

In an interview with “iZombie” and “Veronica Mars” showrunner Rob Thomas, he revealed Liv is going to see her friends and loved ones fall away from her as Season 2 begins. After her roommate Peyton (Aly Michalka) ran off and Major (Robert Buckley) became cross with her for turning him into a zombie, she might further distance her brother and mother for refusing a potential zombie contaminated transfusion.

Thomas told The Hollywood Reporter, “Everyone who was in that intervention scene in the pilot — Peyton, her mom, her brother and Major — everyone who was trying to pull her out of her doldrum at the beginning of season one, she will be estranged from as we begin season two.”

But that’s not all that’s in store for the “iZombie” star. After curing murderous zombie kingpin Blaine with a yet untested vaccine, Liv and Blaine will be forced to call a truce and work together to defeat the season finale baddie, Max Rager CEO Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber). “It’s not as though they’re going to become buddies, but they will need to work together to survive,” assured Thomas, pointing out that Blaine’s past life hobby of murdering homeless teens would not endear him to Liv.

At the end of Season 1 finale, “Blaine’s World,” Liv confronted Rager. Now, with a price on her head and those of other zombies, Liv will have to make peace with Blaine in order to fight back. Then there’s the tricky temptation of Dr. Ravi’s (Rahul Kohli) cure that saved both Blaine and Major from their zombie state. Will Liv partake or will she hold off until the cure’s been perfected? Fans will have to wait until “iZombie” Season 2 to find out.

“iZombie” returns to the CW this fall. New episodes will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m.  (View source)
