What seems like a nuisance crime grabbing headlines in Vegas — someone stalking women and clandestinely snipping off locks of their hair for an apparent fetish — escalates to murder when one of the women ends up dead, dressed in vintage clothes, hair styled in a ’70s do. The killer leaving behind a truly bizarre calling card in the throat of the victim: a braid woven from the hair he has collected all over Vegas. What unfolds is a hunt for the killer, with crazy hair forensics. And a case that takes Russell back to his past, and his pursuit of the Gig Harbor killer in Seattle. Russell grapples with the memory even as he draws inspiration from past success. And he leads the team in the take-down of the Vegas Hair Killer.

When the two enter a crowded mall elevator, a man hiding a switchblade stands behind them. When they exit, Bridget notices a piece of her sister’s hair has been cut. They report it to police, along with several other women but Eve is unable to escape the stalker’s return and is later found dead.
