Hello Roses! Remember Rose’s short film “Coward“? It finally has a premiere date! It will be shown along with a string of other short films; Gasping, The Guests, The Pig Child, Artificio Conceal, The Listener. It’s directed by Rose’s good friend Karen Gillan, and is about 10 minutes long. Screen captures from the trailer have been added to our gallery, and you can watch the trailer on the official festival website here.

An explosive investigation of the insidious influence of technology, commodity and celebrity culture within society, and upon individual identity.

Interrogating the electric tensions existing between the emotional and rational, ethical and political within a post-modern societal landscape in constant agitation, these engaging shorts pulsate with ruminative questions. How does surveillance relate to personal autonomy? What impact has popular culture upon ones self-image? And just how ethically sound is scientific advancement?

Coward: Karen Gillan/USA/2015/10 min/European premiere
