With all the excitement around ‘A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding’, I completely forgot to update the site with the latest on one of Rose’s other upcoming films – Daffodils! Daffodils is New Zealand’s first ever movie-musical, and is a love-story told with beautiful re-imaginings of the most iconic New Zealand pop songs from artists like Crowded House and Bic Runga. I absolutely love this trailer (we get to hear Rose sing!), and it’s possibly the film of hers so far in her career that I look the most forward to – but sadly we’re up for a bit of waiting, as it won’t hit cinemas until March 2019. Make sure to check out the preview below, and afterwards head over to our gallery for some beautiful production stills in HQ…

The Greatest Showman, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, A Star is Born, Bohemian Rhapsody. This has been a stellar year for the movie musical, with the above quartet all looking set to be amongst the biggest earners of 2018 at the New Zealand box office. However, for Kiwi fans of the genre, there’s even more exciting news. In 2019, we’ll finally be getting our own homegrown big-screen musical. Based on the popular stage show of the same name, Daffodils is set to debut in New Zealand cinemas on March 21. Written by Rochelle Bright (the author of the original play, which was first staged in 2014), who was inspired by her own parents’ love story, it will feature some of Kiwi music’s most beloved songs, from artists like Crowded House, The Muttonbirds and Bic Runga. The cast includes iZombie’s Rose McIver, Home and Away’s George Mason and Kiwi popstar Kimbra.

Speaking after the release of the movie’s first trailer on Wednesday afternoon, Daffodils’ producer Richard Fletcher admits it was funny how “all the stars have aligned” for the movie, with viewer interest in cinematic musicals currently skyhigh. “It’s extraordinary, because when we started developing the stage show as a film [in 2016], we had no idea this would happen. La La Land hadn’t even come out.” Filming took place at Wellington’s Avalon Studios, in the Wairarapa and parts of the Waikato over eight weeks last summer, with Fletcher describing it as broadening, but in no way changing the essence of the much-loved play. “Obviously the stage show was essentially a two-hander, with the only other character the narrator – the one that Kimbra plays in the movie. We’ve added in a lot more characters, friends, the leads’ parents – to create a wider pool and wider storylines, but it’s still very true to the play.” (Read full story)

Hello Rose fans! We finally have the official trailer for the sequel to “A Christmas Prince”, “A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding” – and it delivers all we’ve come to expect following the beautiful original! Rose is back as Amber, who is now trying to come to terms with her new responsibilities, while planning her dream wedding at the same time. In addition to the new trailer, which you can watch below, I have updated our gallery with trailer screen captures and some stunning production stills (in very HQ). Thanks to my good friend Ashley for helping us with these!

FYI: Netflix tends to go a bit overboard with their trailers, so you should avoid watching it if you want to stay completely unspoiled about the plot. But whether you watch it now or not, definitely make sure to stream the film on Netflix on November 30th!

The wedding of the year is finally here! But will Amber and Richard make it past royal formalities and down the aisle? Find out when Rose McIver and Ben Lamb star in A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding.

Hello Rose fans! The sequel to Rose’s much talked about Christmas film “A Christmas Prince” from last year now has a release date. Entertainment Weekly exclusively announced earlier today that Netflix will release the film (titled “A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding”) on November 30, 2018. We also got the first production still of Rose, which is now available in our gallery! Read on to learn the synopsis of the much anticipated sequel.

EW | Hallmark and Lifetime aren’t the only networks in the Christmas TV movie business. Netflix, which first hung out its stocking last year, is upping its mistletoe-and-merriment quotient this year, and you can get a first look at its offerings below.

The streamer’s slate is highlighted with the sequel to last year’s buzzed-about A Christmas Prince. Airing Nov. 30, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding takes place a year after Amber (Rose McIver) helped Prince Richard (Ben Lamb) take the crown, and the two are preparing for a Christmas wedding… but everything is thrown into the air when Amber questions whether she’s ready to play queen, and Richard must deal with a “political crisis that threatens to tarnish not only the holiday season, but the future of the kingdom.”

I want to start today’s post by wishing a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our girl, who turned 30 years old this week!! Rose’s birthday was on October 10, and she celebrated it with all her closest friends. Her bestfriend (and old “Maddigan’s Quest”co-star) Fleur Seville and George Byrne put together a big surprise party for her, which you can find a video from on Rose’s official instagram here. Those who’ve been with us for a few years know that we always try to put together something special for her birthday, but time would not allow it this year. We will make up for it by putting together something extra big next birthday! Rose seemed to have an amazing day with her closest friends, and I hope the coming year will bring her lots of joy, new opportunities and experiences. She never stops to amaze me with her hard work, talent & kindness, and I can’t wait to see what’s up next for her – I know it’ll be something big!

Now over to the new update – Rose has began promoting Brampton’s Own! On Monday morning (October 8), she was a guest at KTLA Morning News, where she talked about her upcoming film. They also discussed actors and actresses from New Zealand in the US, and iZombie’s final season – you can find her interview in full below. Our gallery now also hold +200 screen captures from the clip for you!

“Brampton’s Own” is in select theaters and on Digital October 19. And catch iZombie sometime early next year. This segment aired on the KTLA 5 Morning, News, Monday, October 8, 2018.

Variety reported a while back that Dark Star Pictures has acquired the rights to Rose’s upcoming romantic drama, Brampton’s Own, and has set a theatrical release for this fall. With the new information came the first official trailer and the film’s official poster, which have now been added to our gallery! The film will also be available on digital platforms on October 19th, and I will of course add screen captures from the film shortly after. While waiting for the release, make sure to check out the trailer below, and you can find screen captures from it in our gallery!

Dark Star Pictures has acquired the romantic drama “Brampton’s Own,” slating the film for a multi-city theatrical release this fall.

The baseball-centric romance, written and directed by Michael Doneger, will also be made available on digital platforms and through local cable providers on Oct. 19.

Acquired by Dark Star from Cloverhill Pictures, “Brampton’s Own” stars Alex Russell of “SWAT” and Rose Mclver (“iZombie”). Spencer Grammer, Scott Porter, John Getz and Jean Smart are in supporting roles.

Russell portrays a retired minor league baseball player who has returned to his small hometown where he was once a celebrated athlete and finds his old friends have started families, his ex-girlfriend is now engaged, and his mom is selling his childhood home and moving in with her new boyfriend.

The film was produced by Doneger’s Cloverhill Pictures, Mark DiCristofaro in association with his company Perspective Productions, and co-produced by Matthew Harper. The film had its world premiere at the Nashville Film Festival.

Hello friends! I have now caught up on iZombie season 4, by adding screencaps from the missing episodes which aired after I closed the site in May. There’s 4 total, and you can find links to all below! My favorites are the caps from episode 12, “You’ve Got To Hide Your Liv Away” – Rose/Liv looked gorgeous in the scenes of her and Major on old, happy couple brains (who turned out to not be all that happy after all…). All in all I thought it was another great season, and Rose once again impressed with every episode! Enjoy the new additions to our site, and stay tuned for “Brampton’s Own” updates up next.

Hello Roses! Have you missed us? After a 5 months long break, I have decided to bring Rose McIver Online back online. Back in May it felt like it was the right decision to close the doors of Rose-McIver.com, but I’ve been missing the site too much since parting with it. Next year it’ll be 10 years since we created the very first version of the site, and despite a couple of breaks over the years, it’s been following Rose’s career from her early days in Hollywood. With iZombie going into its fifth and final season, I definitely didn’t want to miss covering the show one final time, as it has become one of Rose’s most known and loved projects to date. While I wish the show could go on, I’m really happy they were given a season to wrap up the story – and I want to say goodbye to our favorite zom-com-rom-dram by following it with you all here at the site.

I will catch up with the missing season 4 photos and screen captures of iZombie up first, as well as everything related to Rose’s upcoming film “Brampton’s Own”. But for our first update back, I’ve updated our gallery with 4 high quality photos of Rose at the Fan Expo Canada on September 1st! Check them out below, and be sure to visit us again soon for many new updates!
