Hello Brainies! There’s now only 5 weeks until the season 4 premiere of iZombie, and just like last week, we’ll continue the countdown by celebrating our favorite TV show with a string of throwbacks. Last Monday we took a look at our favorite brains from the first 3 seasons, and today we’ll continue with some of the funniest scenes! I’ve put together a video with some of my personal favorites, but make sure to leave a comment in the comments field below with your personal ones. The focus have mainly been on Liv’s scenes (we are a Rose fansite after all!), but there’s a lot of different guest characters included. Stay tuned for another iZombie special next Monday!

Hello fellow Brainies! Today is the first of 6 remaining Mondays before the season 4 premiere of our favorite show, and we’ll count down with iZombie specials on each of the 6 Mondays! We’ll try to make the wait seem shorter, by looking back at our favorite moments, brains, characters and more. Each post will be different, but they all have in common that they will honor the best Rom-Com-Zom-Dram on television!

For our first post, we’re gonna look back at out 10 favorite brains from season 1, 2 and 3. These are ranked by order of episode, but you can help us rank them by best to worst in the poll at the bottom of the post. There’s been so many great brains over the three seasons, so this was a very hard pick – but these 10 stands out as the most memorable, wittiest and most creative! Make sure to leave a comment in the comments section below, letting us know if you agree or disagree with our list. Is there a certain brain you feel we should have included? Let us know.

To make this post a little diverse, we’ll present some of the brains as videos we have created with our favorite scenes, some with GIFs and some with quotes and information. Thank you so much to one of our favorite iZombie tumblrs, iZombie source, for all the GIFs used in this post. Make sure to follow them if you have an account at the site! Now, let’s get to it shall we?

Crazy Brain (Scott E.) – 1×11

Throughout this list, you’ll probably pick up on that a lot of the brains we’ve chosen are due to the comedy they provide. That said, the reason we have decided to include this first one is not due to the comedy it provides (at least not solely – but we all sure laughed out loud when Liv was shouting at the devil inside the vending machine!). In the episode, Liv eats the brain of Scott E., a former drug dealer with a troubled childhood who previously worked for Stacey Boss. Scott E. was the identical twin brother of Don E., who we met later on in the show (and who is still one of our favorite characters). He was present at the Lake Washington Boat Party, and witnessing the humans turn into zombies mixed with his already unstable mental history (which included hearing voices) pushed him over the edge. He went crazy, and was admitted to the Blooming Grove Mental Hospital. There he started an affair with one of his doctors, Dr. Maddy Larson, who became pregnant with his child after endless tries with her own husband. Scott E. tried to convince her to take an abortion, but Dr. Larson refused and killed him. Once Liv ate his brain, she started hearing voices and seeing a red devil which followed her around. Unlike all the previous brains, it became clear that she would not be getting the regular old flashbacks with people’s memories, but rather learn about Scott E.’s past through these visions. The reason for its inclusion on our list is the very clever writing, which really makes this brain stand out from all the others. Liv and Clive are usually lead to the murderers by following the leads Liv’s flashbacks give them, but we love the idea that getting these hints from the victims aren’t always reliable.

We also have to mention the heartbreaking scene where Liv realize her confession about being a zombie to Major (which he took very well) was all in her head, caused by Scott E.’s condition. Once she meets Major again, she’s unable to confess anything before he tells her that he knows zombies are real, and that he’s going to kill them all. We were brought through all the emotions and visions together with Liv, not knowing what was real and what wasn’t – other than the obvious devil appearances. When Liv realized Johnny Frost was just a vision, we were just as confused as her. The writing in this episode was so good, it really stands out as one of the most creative episodes of the series!

It’s finally December! Just like in 2012 and 2015, we at Rose McIver Online would like to count down the days until Christmas with you all here at the site through our very own (and now hopefully annual) Advent Calendar. On every day of December leading up to the 25th, a new page will become available with a brand new gift. Make sure to check back every day, and click the correct number! The gifts will appear in a pop-up window, and there will be all kinds of goodies; twitter avatars, unique videos, recipes, and more. Be alerted once a new page is up over at our twitter account, which you can follow here. December 1st is now up, so make sure to header over and click window number “1”!

Big thanks to my talented friend Kimberly, who designed the beautiful layout for us. When I told her what I wanted for the calendar, she got straight to work, and she absolutely nailed the style and spirit I was hoping for! It’s definitely our prettiest calendar to date, and I hope it’ll put you in a Holiday mood. Also sending a big thank you to my friends Maria and Mouza for helping out with some of the calendar’s gifts.

Hello Rose fans! Before the San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, we created a YouTube profile to easier make playlists for our event pages. The account is now set up, and you can find video playlists for all the conventions Rose has attended! We have also created separate playlists for different video categories, such as short films, photoshoots, talk shows and more. Our YouTube page will not replace our video archive, which is still being updated regularly, but it makes it easier for those of you who love YouTube to find all the best Rose videos!

Make sure to subscribe to our account, so you’ll know whenever we upload or share new videos. We’ll continue to work on the account during the weekend, so keep checking back! And stay tuned for some really big updates later tonight.

Hello friends! Remember our old site special “10 reasons to…”? We know the amount of posts here at Rose McIver Online have declined in the past year, and we want to change that. There was a lot of great feedback on our old posts, and we think you guys enjoyed reading them as much as we enjoyed creating them – so let’s bring them back! I will try to make it a much more regular feature, especially now that we’re heading into another iZombie hiatus (and we all know how long those feel). We’ll start a new one called “Rose McIver Online Spotlights 10…”, and over the next weeks we’ll put some spotlight on some of our favorite Rose stuff; such as 10 unforgettable outfits, memorable film scenes, favorite interviews and more.

With this post, I want to highlight certain career projects which many fans might have forgotten – newer fans of Rose might not even know about them! iZombie take up a lot of our focus these days, but Rose has a long list of short films, film productions and television shows to her name. For today’s post, I have picked out 10 of her projects which I want to put some spotlight on. I’ve had a lot of fun creating this post, and I hope you’ll enjoy watching clips of some of our girl’s older projects. So let’s jump to it, shall we?

1: The Dinner Party

I’ll kick off our throwback with one of my personal favorites! Back in 2012, Rose was a guest on one of BriTANicK’s youtube comedy films called “The Dinner Party”. The film is a shy of 4 minutes long video, with the dramatic tagline “Tonight’s main course? Betrayal.” Rose was a guest together with Jessy Hodges and Kyle Mooney, and we get to hear her act with different accents. Check it out – and prepare for a good laugh!

2: All Good Bananas

Early in her career, Rose did a lot of smaller acting jobs to promote herself and earn money to be able to follow her dream. Between these jobs, she teamed up with Ogilvy Auckland and All Good Bananas (in her home country New Zeland”) to earn some money part-time. In 2010, they did an advert called “Listen To Your Conscience”, where Rose is the voice of the listener’s conscience. Ogilvy Auckland’s objective was to get shoppers to consider purchasing All Good Fair-trade bananas while at the supermarket. To do this, they used a new audio-spotlight device to interact with them like never before. Unlike a regular speaker, the audio-spotlight emits a narrow high frequency beam of sound, which can only be heard by one person at a time, making it the perfect tool for communicating their intimate message. You can watch the advert Rose participated in below!

Hello Rose fans! You might have noticed our site has been offline for a couple of days. We apologize for the downtime, but everything should be fine again now. To celebrate that we have new staff members here at Rose McIver Online, and are entering a new era of the site, we have got new layouts both here at our main site and in our photo gallery! For the third time, our new look is designed by our extremely talented friend Nicole. I absolutely love it, and I hope you’ll like it as much as we do. This time we have unique layouts at the main site and in our photo gallery, so make sure you check out both!

Big updates are coming up in the next few days, we’ll catch up on iZombie screen captures, information pages and videos, and we’ll have a lot of new content. Rose also attended two new events, so check back in a bit for beautiful new photos!

I hope you’re all ready for a big iZombie update! OurSpanking The Zombie page is now up, packed with information, comic GIFs, a look at Liv’s style, a look at the food prepared in the episode, lines (and the full script, for those who are interested), videos, many twitter avatars, which are free for all to use – and of course, HD Screen Captures!

This was such a good episode, which I know most of you who follow us on twitter agreed with! First half of the episode was full of comedy, and Rose was brilliant as an dominatrix. Then the final part took a very dramatic turn, and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who had to grab my pillow… I love how well this show mix the fun with such strong emotions. I hope you all loved it as much as I did!

Hello Rose fans! Our detailed episode page for iZombie 3×04, Wag the Tongue Slowly, is now up and complete! View it here. On the page, you’ll find all the important episode information, reviews, quotes, videos, links to episode stills and graphics, a look at Liv’s style in the episode, a look at all the comic intros, photos of the food prepared and more. We hope you’ll like it!

You can also find HD screen captures from the episode in our photo gallery. It was yet another great episode – and the ratings increased this week! But the season overall isn’t doing too well, so we need you all to watch + get everyone you know to watch. We definitely need a fourth season, so please help us make it happen fellow Brainies…

We have been working really hard on re-building our site this week, and we’ve made quite a good progress! All our information pages have now been updated, including the Style Files. Once we complete the full site, we’ll also update the timeline and style rundown with all of Rose’s latest events. The Multimedia pages (except twitter avatars and headers – those are coming up soon!) and Fanzone pages are all back, and we’ve even added some new additions! The Press Library is also up again, though we’ve lost quite a lot of articles. I will work on re-adding those this weekend. We have created a brand new Video Archive as well, which I think is even better then the old one! It doesn’t have as many videos yet, but it’s a lot easier to browse and more organized then our old one. We hope you’ll like it!

Now all that’s left is to update all our career pages (most are done, though – just missing the filmography and television projects) and re-make our graphics archive. We should have everything back up by the end of the week! Then we’ll start working on the gallery, as we lost about 10 000 photos. Those too should be up very soon… Thanks for the patience!
